Whai Ora ‘natural goodness made easy’ is a unique, New Zealand-made natural smoothie blend.
From positioning workshops to uncovering the USP, this brand development has been an epic collaboration. Since the get go we’ve worked alongside the Whai Ora team to create an innovative and premium brand that appeals to lifestylers in New Zealand and Asia while also staying true to its intrinsic Maori values and tikanga.
The design had to balance an abundance of whole foods in each blend, be ultra-clean to reference the science behind the smoothies, and of course look tasty and appealing!
Whai Ora means ‘the pursuit of wellbeing.' It’s a quest that took the Whai Ora whanau around the world to source the finest ingredients. Along the way we joined forces and worked with some incredibly talented people – artist, Jamie Boyton who guided the cultural aspects of the brief and created the unique unfurling kowhaiwhai pattern; Kelly Thompson who illustrated the ingredients and Tam West who photographed the finished product.
The result is a brand that is a perfect blend of whole foods and science interwoven and true to its Maori values of nurture and kaitiakitanga.
